Vreni Frauenfelder reached the 15th place in the category “Swiss of the Year”

In the issue of the Sunday newspaper from December 28, 2014, Vreni Frauenfelder was elected by the newspaper editorial to the 15th place as “Swiss of the year”. With the election Vreni Frauenfelder, founder and honorary president of the Help Committee Schaffhausen awards for her nearly 40year commitment in Afghanistan. Her election is justified due to the fact that the 87-year-old Vreni carried out numerous aid projects in Afghanistan, she built hospitals, schools and orphanages and saved thousands of people from death by starvation or thirst. In addition, the impressive work of the Help Committee is appreciated: With an annual budget of less than one million francs, Frauenfelders Help Committe  set an example for other NGOs in terms of income and expenses“.

The Help Committe Schaffhausen congratulates its founder and honorary president very much to that honor.
